The Philadelphia Singers

From 1992-2015, David Hayes was Music Director of the Philadelphia Singers, a renowned professional chorus. He was also on the conducting staff of the Philadelphia Orchestra from 2001-2011.

Mr. Hayes and The Philadelphia Singers recorded the world premiere of Randall Thompson’s Requiem, released on Naxos in 2016.

“…After waiting more than half a century, this first recording, by the 32-voice Philadelphia Singers conducted by David Hayes, is not only technically superb but exceptionally warm and passionate.”
– Laurence Vittes, Gramophone Magazine
